Beloved pink puppet dog Flurffy and his friends move out of the Museum and into the community to launch AMFA’s Arts on the Lawn program. AMFA puppeteers and artists travel to Ottenheimer Park to create engaging mini pop-up performances that build community through the arts in public spaces.
SATURDAY, APRIL 10 / 3 p.m.
In partnership with Trike Theatre, AMFA presents Turning Red: Learning to Choose Love, a special production for young people and families. This original play, adapted for the stage by Bethany Corey-Ekin, is based on the national Choose Love Movement which promotes Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion-in-action = Choosing Love.
SATURDAY, APRIL 17 / 7:30 p.m.
In partnership with Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Arkansas, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts presents Igor Stravinsky’s brilliant theatrical work “The Soldier’s Tale.” Immerse yourself in the World War I-era story of a young soldier who sells his violin to the devil in exchange for access to unlimited wealth.
